Koi No Ike

According to a legend, the koi fish were attempting to leap to the top of a magical waterfall at the end of the Yellow River in China. After hundreds of years of jumping, a koi fish managed to reach the top of the waterfall. The gods, recognizing the determination and effort of the koi, turn the fish into a mighty dragon. Koi fish are, since then, associated with the symbol of strength and perseverance.
